Recital Day Guide

It’s time for the recital day. You child will get to showcase what they have learned this year. Can you remember when they couldn’t even find where “c” was on the piano, let alone actually ready the music? So how do you prepare for the recital? Well, as mentioned all month, it’s a good idea to have them play a mini concert for the family, even if it’s over the phone or Skype, even in the clothes they will wear at the recital (something nice). Classical Music

This weekend, I had a student tell me that she recognised a classical piece of music in class. She had listened to it multiple times for her ballet class. Sometimes students recognise classical pieces that are in commercials or movies. Parents often don’t know where to start when having their kids listen to classical music. Recital Time!

It’s time to showcase what we’ve learned this year. Invite your family, friends, and neighbours to come to our recital! The recital will be on Tuesday May 31st at the Kanata United Church. It is just steps from our studio at 33 Leacock Dr, Kanata, ON K2K 2B9. Sunshines will be at 5:15pm, and Sunbeams and Moonbeams at 6:15pm. Looking forward to seeing you there.
